It has been brought to the Board of Directors attention, that there was vandalism done in the Dart Room. Most of the darts were destroyed. Unfortunately we cannot continue to replace the darts. If you are interested in playing darts in the future, please provide your own darts to play with. Once you are finished playing, please take them home with you. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Holly Twig welcomes guys as well as gals to volunteer with us and be part of this group as we work together to make it possible to fulfill our mission to raise money to purchase comfort items for the patients of RWJ Barnabas Health/Community Medical Center. 100% of the profit of our fundraising goes into those items that are selected from a Wish List that is made up from various departments.  In the past, we have contributed such items as warming blankets, reclining chairs and televisions for the patients, just to name a few.  None of the money goes into the hospital operations.
We appreciate your donation of any weight yarn. The baby weight is turned into precious little caps for the new born babies to wear home. The heavier weight yarn is used to make other items which we sell at our boutique. We can also re-gift new items that you would like to donate. Your support and generosity makes this possible. Call us to arrange pickup of your donation.

Here is what’s coming up:
  • We are having a Tupperware party! Wednesday, September 28th and Thursday, September 29th. Everyone loves Tupperware in the new colors.
  • Thursday, October 6th we will be hosting the handbag sale. The prices are always exceptional. Start your holiday shopping here.
  • Friday, November 4th the Holly Twig Holiday Boutique is back. Come and shop here for great bargains.  There will be an assortment of crafted items, baked goods and beautiful new holiday items. At 3 p.m. we will have the drawing for the $500 Visa gift card.  Raffles will be available to purchase from a Holly Twig.

Sales are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Outpatient Lobby
and parking is free.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, September 14th. Holly Twig meets the second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the H.C. Berkeley Clubhouse #2 - upper clubhouse.  Being part of this group doesn’t take very much time, and is very rewarding.  We look forward to meeting you. Refreshments are served and we have a program.

Are you still interested in having the meetings and events posted on YouTube?
The context of some recent false social media postings has been taken out of context. These postings have created many questions by the share owners about our proceedings and format. Please accept our apologies as we learn how to conduct meetings properly. Be assured the 2022 Board of directors are always discussing a wish list and always seek how to proceed legally when suggesting things like having our own 50/50 raffle.  Many changes have been happening and we hope the share owners are favorable to the ideas we put forward. There may be a cost associated with transparency, but we will always discuss the ideas publicly before making any final decisions. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Your input is both welcome and needed. Please vote yes if you would like to see the you Tube channel to continue.

Good Evening HCB
I have been working on several requests for the shareowners.
I really need to focus on what needs to be done but I am constantly getting financial report requests from the past Treasurer for silly things like the past 12 months of JCP&L bills and now she wants the second quarter bank statements for all accounts. Compiling these documents stops me from addressing the shareowners and their requests. She is purposely interfering with my progress that needs to be done.
Many want to know about
1.   the woodshop classes
2.   the 2023 budget work
3.   the sound system
4.   the improvements to the website
5.   updating reports on the website

Barbara Egner seems to believe that the most important things in HCB are what she wants and speaks. The current 2022 Board believes that she is harassing us in an effort to prevent you from enjoying what we believe is best for the shareowners.  As we attempt to move things forward, her or her cronies seem to come up with some kind of intentional road blocks. As a dedicated board, we will not be defeated even if it takes longer to accomplish our goals. Remember why she was not re-elected, she is a mean vindictive person who is condescending to every shareowner or their ideas. She can only “balance her check book” but now wants monthly reports? They are all on the HCB website for everyone to see and follow.

I hope shareowners will reach out to her and request she stop requesting reports she in her 7 years as a director was never interested in looking at.

Having read my rant, I will always report her harassment to everyone by email, on the website, and in the monthly bulletin.

Thanks
Michael Alegre
President HCB
We have work to do for you.
