The Variety & Drama Club will hold their next meeting on Tuesday August 27th at 5pm in Clubhouse 2. We will be talking about ideas for our next show! We always welcome new members! Please call Pat if you have any questions 908-309-6478.
Reminder..we are always looking for new members…whether you love to entertain or you're more of a backstage kind of person. We will start our meetings at the end of August. We meet every Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Clubhouse 2.

We had a great Bocce season! Playoffs were held on Tuesday, July 2. I will be posting results in the next newsletter.
Our luncheon will be held on October 4 in Clubhouse I. Mulberry Street will be catering it. This year we are having a hot and cold buffet. The hot buffet will feature Chicken Nannino, Eggplant Rollatini, Flounder and a Pasta Bolognese. The price is $10 for Bocce members and $25 for guests. Tickets will be sold on Tuesdays from 12:00 - 1:00 on the following dates – July 17, August 6 & 20, September 3 & 17. Please contact me if you are unable to buy tickets on those dates.

The High Tea Luncheon at the beautiful, downtown Mathis House, later this month is SOLD OUT. We are looking forward to the lovely event.
Vendor sales are open to the public to come and shop. Valet parking is FREE, conveniently located at the main hospital entrance.
These are the vendor sales planned for 2024:

We are excited to see the progress of the new parking garage. It is looking great! Be sure to look in that direction when you are visiting.
We welcome your donations of new baby weight yarn in light colors, which our Holly Twig members, who knit and crochet, make hats for the newborn babies to wear home and chemo caps for patients in the Oncology Department. All of our hats are made by Holly Twig members, and we use approved patterns.
There is no meeting in August. Our next meeting is Wednesday, September 11th.

Our next meeting is August 9th at 12:00pm at Club House One. At 11:30am coffee and donuts will be served prior to the meeting. Remember, you do not need to fish in order to be a member of our club, we are a Social & Fishing Club. On August 15th we are planning to rent a pontoon boat and do some crabbing/fishing and socializing in Waretown, at Bob's Marina, and a trip on the River Lady, a Genuine Paddle Wheel Luncheon Cruise on Toms River on September 11th, also on September 18th we are planning a picnic at John Bartlett County Park in Bayville (approximately 25 minutes from the Clubhouse), ADA accessible, Crabbing, Fishing, Cornhole, Kite Flying, Bocce, restrooms, covered pavilion, B.Y.O.B. and much more, sign up at our meeting, more details and cost will be available. Come join us, for the day, or just a few hours, lunch to be provided along with crab traps, fishing poles and bait, plan on signing up for our first annual picnic or CALL John Gindhart (907) 671-0460 for more information.

The Holiday City Melodiers, our local community choir, are looking for new members to join them for their upcoming season. If you have a love for music and enjoy singing come join us for our first rehearsal of the season on August 28th from 5pm - 7pm in Clubhouse 2. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary. The only requirement is a love for music. The group is also in need of an accompanist who plays the piano. The Committee has created a Veterans Registry which is published in our newspaper, on our web site and located in the office and library. We would appreciate if it all the veterans submit these forms so we may include our vets in future events. These forms can be dropped off or mailed to the office.
Please Save the Date! Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 6 pm we are having a Veterans Day Dinner and Dance. Live music will be provided by Who Are You Guys?, a fabulous band playing music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. We are also planning on some special guests to honor our veterans. Tickets will go on sale in July.

Bocce Club is underway. We will be finishing our season the end of June. Playoff dates to be announced.
Save the date! Our Bocce Luncheon will be held Friday, October 4 at 12:30. This event will be held in Clubhouse I. Catering by Mullberry St. Ticket and price to be announced. This year we will have a hot and cold buffet.

The Holiday City Berkeley Melodiers would like to thank everyone who has supported us and attended our Spring Concert. We hope you enjoyed celebrating "The Seasons through Songs" with us and would love to see you again at future concerts. We are a social club where some of our members bring their crafts (knitting, crocheting, sewing, etc.) to work on during the meeting. If you want to learn how to do any of these crafts, there is always someone willing to teach you. We welcomed a number of new members since January.
We meet every Thursday at 1:00 P.M. in Clubhouse 1. Please note, however, our club does not meet in July or August.
We wish you all a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing everyone back in September.
