Our Annual Gift auction is on Wednesday, June 10th, with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. Please bring snacks or lunch and have a great afternoon. Tickets are being sold on Tuesday before BINGO at Holiday City Carefree and Thursday at the Holiday City Berkeley Clubhouse before BINGO from 2:30-4. Tickets are $20 and include a door prize ticket, a sheet of red table tickets, a gold table ticket, bottled water, and assorted sweet treats. Guests are welcome to bring additional snacks. When you purchase six or more tickets, you may reserve a table for your group. This popular event always sells out, so be sure to get your tickets early.
On August 12th, Holly Twig will host our Third Annual High Tea at the beautiful Mathis House, located at 600 Main Street. Seating begins at 11:00 a.m. This elegant five-course experience will include soup, salad, scones, tea sandwiches, dessert, and, of course, plenty of tea. Seating is limited, so watch for upcoming flyers and plan to purchase your tickets early --whether for yourself or a table of friends. It’s sure to be a memorable and delicious afternoon. The ticket price is $50. There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.
All proceeds from our events are donated to the hospital to help fulfill “wish list” items requested by various departments—needs that fall outside the regular operating budget. Each department may submit requests for items up to $5,000. Your continued support and generosity make it possible for these important wishes to be granted.
One of our ongoing fundraising efforts is our partnership with Second Time Around, located at 200 Corporate Circle, Toms River 08755, creating a true win-win opportunity. We gladly accept new or gently used items, which are consigned under Holly Twig’s account. It’s a wonderful shop full of hidden treasures—you never know what you might find!
We continue to collect donations of new, soft yarn. Our talented members use these materials year-round to create baby hats for newborns, as well as chemo hats, shawls, and lap blankets for patients in the oncology department.
Holly Twig meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at Clubhouse 2 in Holiday City Berkeley. Meetings begin with coffee and conversation, often followed by an engaging program before our business session. We always welcome new faces and invite you to join us.
