Happy Holidays to all. After a crazy winter we are due for sunshine and calm day. Our lunch in March was as usual just great. In May, we are going to Atlantic City. All are welcome, see Pat for tickets. Our meetings are open to all, you don't have to be a fisherman, just being social is fine.

The Red Ball is Closer! - No The Green Ball Is Closer! - How do I respond to that argument? Who cares!!
Casual Bocce is back for its incredible FIFTH season!!!

Casual Bocce is the same game that you already know and love; bocce without the set teams or measuring the balls. Or maybe you don't know the game and want to give it a try?
Casual Bocce is currently in progress. Games are on THURSDAY from 1-3PM at Clubhouse 1 on 631 Jamaica Blvd. While there is always room for everyone to play, it is encouraged to call ahead to make sure there is a game going or that there is room.

We are NOT associated with the Official Bocce League which will run concurrently earlier in the week. For the Official Bocce League information, please see their post right here in the newsletter.
For any questions or information, call Steve Abramson at 609-661-0794.

RED THREE!!! - SEVEN KRAK!!! - If either or both of those phrases mean anything to you then you're in the right place.

What IS the Friendship Club?

The Friendship Club is a group of men and women who meet on Mondays and Fridays from 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM in the Poker Room in Clubhouse 1.

We are a group of about 15 people that love to play Canasta (Hand-And-Foot) and Mah-Jongg.
We always have coffee and snacks around 2PM in the kitchen (Members all take turns bringing snacks).
Conversation and laughs are always had; and the occasional get together is had outside the clubhouse. We also celebrate birthdays on a monthly basis.

If you'd like to join a friendly group of adults and can play either Canasta or Mah-Jongg (OR you'd like to learn), please don't hesitate to come on down on those days and say "hi!"
For more information, call Steve Abramson at 609-661-0794.

Happy New Year everyone. Thank you to everyone who supported our sales last year and to all the Holly Twigs who worked to make last year a great one. We could not have done it alone. You all made it possible. We worked hard to go with the times. During the active pandemic we stayed safe and did things virtually and contactless. We had to be creative, and think out of the box.  This past year we returned to a more normal way of life, and everyone pulled together and made things happen. Our President, MaryLou Galiano, who has tireless energy, and the Board as well as all the members of Holly Twig are to be commended for a job well done. This was our 50th Anniversary year and our 50th Anniversary Cookbooks are sold out. For the first time ever, all the raffle tickets for the Visa Gift Card Raffle sold out also.
Start your new year by joining Holly Twig. Come out and join your friends, make some new friends and be part of a valuable group of women.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, January 11th, 2023.  Holly Twig meets the second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the H.C. Berkeley Clubhouse #2 - upper clubhouse.  Being part of this group doesn’t take very much time, and is very rewarding.  Refreshments are served; there is a brief business meeting before we have a program. If you have been thinking about joining, please put the date on your calendar and come.
Our Mission is to raise money to purchase comfort items for the patients of RWJ Barnabas Health/Community Medical Center. 100% of the profit of our fundraising goes into those items that are selected from a Wish List that is made up from various departments.  In the past, we have contributed such items as warming blankets, reclining chairs and televisions for the patients, just to name a few.
The Tupperware Sale will be back on Tuesday, March 14th and Wednesday, March 15th. The sale is in back of the Out Patient Lobby from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and parking will be free. All are welcome to come and shop.
We are working on putting some other sales together, and we will spread the word by flyers around town and social media.
We continue to accept donations of new items that we resell and donations of yarn. We are always making baby hats for the newborns to wear home.
