Happy Father's Day!
We are having our luncheon this month. Tickets are $10.00 for members. They are still available, see Joan. We will be going to the Fortune Buffet.
Good times at A.C. in May. We still need more people to fill our AC bus for next trip or maybe NO next trip.
Enjoy the Summer and stay well!

The BBQ Committee will be serving Hot Dogs & Hamburgers every Saturday and Sunday beginning June 3. We are looking for many volunteers so that one only has to work occasionally over the course of the summer. Available jobs are grilling, setting up, cleaning up, taking orders, and collecting money. Please sign up and make connections with fellow HCB shareowners. Help us make these BBQs a success!

In May we had our Anniversary luncheon, celebrating our 51st year. A wonderful time was had by all who attended.
June 14th is our Annual Gift Auction. Thank you to all who purchased tickets. We will see you there! This is a sold out event!
We do not have meetings in July and August, but are busy planning fundraising activities for the fall. The Holiday Boutique in November is already being worked on, and more wonderful vendor sales are coming up. All of these sales are open to the public, so your continued support is appreciated.
Our talented Holly Twig members, who knit and crochet, continue to make hats for the newborn babies to wear home as well as making hats for patients on the Oncology Floor to make them more comfortable. Please call MaryLou, if you have soft yarn in any colors to donate. All of our hats are made by Holly Twig members, and we use approved patterns. Your generous donations of yarn help to make this happen.
Community Medical Center is excited to now offer FREE valet parking for patients and visitors. This service is available Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the hospital’s main entrance. When arriving at the main entrance to the hospital, you will be greeted by an attendant who will provide you with a valet ticket prior to entering the building. When you leave the hospital, return your ticket to the attendant, and they will retrieve your car.
Are you curious about the Children’s Specialized Hospital/RWJBarnabas Health building at the corner of St. Catherine Blvd. and 37? In April, Children’s Specialized Hospital opened their new outpatient care facility. The RWJBH Medical Group also opened a new outpatient center in the same building, and RWJBarnabas Health and CMC outpatient services will open later in 2023, to include physical therapy, pre-admission testing and a surgery center.

The Red Ball Is Closer! – No The Green Ball Is Closer! – How do I respond to that argument? Who cares!!!
Casual Bocce is back for it’s incredible FIFTH season!!!
Casual Bocce is the same game that you already know and love; bocce without the set teams or measuring the balls. Or maybe you don’t know the game and want to give it a try?
Casual Bocce is currently in progress. Games are on THURSDAY from 9-11AM at Clubhouse 1 on 631 Jamaica Blvd. (New Time!!!) While there is always room for everyone to play, it is encouraged to call ahead to make sure there is a game going or that there is room.
We are NOT associated with the Official Bocce League which will run concurrently earlier in the week. For the Official Bocce League information, please see their post right here in the newsletter
For any questions or information, call Steve Abramson at 609-661-0794.

RED THREE!!! – SEVEN KRAK!!! – If either or both of those phrases mean anything to you than you’ve in the right place.
What IS the Friendship Club?
The Friendship Club is a group of men and women who meet on Mondays and Fridays from 12:30PM-4:00PM in the Poker Room in Clubhouse 1.
We are a group of about 15 people that love to play Canasta (Hand-And-Foot) and Mah-Jongg.
We always have coffee and snacks around 2PM in the kitchen (Members all take turns bringing snacks)
Conversation and laughs are always had; and the occasional get together is had outside the clubhouse. We also celebrate birthdays on a monthly basis.
If you’d like to join a friendly group of adults and can play either Canasta or Mah-Jongg (OR you’d like to learn), please don’t hesitate to come on down on those days and say “hi!”
For more information, call Steve Abramson at 609-661-0794.

What makes the Variety and Drama Club so special? Simple answer, because we have a variety of special people involved in our group.
We are currently in the preparations for our end-year 2023 show which promises to be so good, we’d want to take it on the road. So far, it looks like there’ll be acting. And singing. And dancing. And jokes… let’s not forget the jokes!
We are looking for more people who are interested in joining. Whether you want to be part of the stage performances or be one of the behind the scenes crew. If you’re interested, come to our next meeting which are held every Tuesday of June from 6 to 8PM at Clubhouse 2 in the giant meeting room upstairs.
If you have any questions, or for more information, please call Loretta Reustle at 732-557-0345 or Carolyn Larsen at 609-618-2599.

Working on a novel, autobiography or memoir, or want to? Or, perhaps you would like to share your writing experiences with others?
Then consider the joining the Mule Road Writers Group.
We meet at the Silver Ridge Park East clubhouse library on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
We are not a 'writing class,' per se, so anyone who can turn readbale sentences into meaningful paragraphs is welcome.
We are simply here to provide a positive, non-judgemental forum where you can share feedback on your writing, discuss writing/publishing related issues, and ask or answer questions from fellow writers.
For more information, please contact Bob Bannar, moderator, at 732-569-3697. Or, email redstonepubs@aol.com.

It is with great gratitude in thanking all residents, their families and friends for attending last month's Spring Concert. I hope that a great time was had by all. Now that spring is upon us and summer rapidly approaching, it's time for the Melodiers to rest their voices and enjoy the warmer season, along with the rest of you.
New memberships will be accepted sometime in late August to early fall. At that time, these residents planning to join are encouraged to "come on down," take a listen and, if they like it they can sign up and become members. Once rehearsals begin in CH2 from 4-6PM on Wednesday afternoons, the Melodiers will then be preparing for the Christmas Concert. The date to be later announced. Any questions, contact Harold Stewart at 201-982-3524 or 848-226-6972. Please leave a message if no answer.
